"You know what really grinds my gears? Nobody's come up with a new priest and a rabbi joke in like thirty years. Ya know? I mean, okay, ah, umm. Priest and a rabbi go, go onto the supermarket, and, uh, the priest wants to buy a ham. And the rabbi says, "Ah, I can't eat it. It's forbidden." Couldn't eat it. Not allowed, pigs are like superheroes to them. Is it perfect? No, but I, I don't see you coming up with anything. And that people is what grinds my gears." - Peter Griffin

Too Much of a Good Thing.

You know what really grinds my gears... When you have too much of a good thing.

Allow me to start with a disclaimer. There are things that you can never have too much of. Things like money, pussy, weed, fun, vacations, and things of the like. This blog is to speak on other matters.

We've all heard the saying, "...too much of a good thing." But can we really have too much of a good thing. I've always been against this type of saying because it implies that something can become sooooooo good, that it can then turn into something bad. And when you think about it, the saying just doesn't make any sense.

But as I thought about this saying I figured out that in some circumstances the saying rings true. An an example, if you were say, stranded on an uninhabited island you would welcome food at any turn (food being the "good"). But if you had to eat coconuts each and everyday, for forever, with no change in sight, the good will then turn to bad (monotony being the "bad"). Granted this scenario is a bit extreme, but its just an example that is possibly relevant to our everyday lives.

I guess to explain it, it's human nature to enjoy things and then tire of them in time. It's human nature to always want something better. The only reason I bring this up is because I've finally become tired of something that i used to really enjoy. That being COD: Modern Warfare 2. I really used to enjoy the game and now I loathe playing it. I hate losing and I hate not being able to talk shit online anymore cause I suck. hahahahaha! I play it to kill time now... and not for fun.

Allow me to leave you with something that you can't have "too much of a good thing" of: MUSIC. And keeping with the topic.

You Know What Really Grinds My Gears... Passive Aggresive people.

Passive-aggressive... lets dissect this word:

Passive
–adjective
Accepting or submitting without objection or resistance.

Aggressive
–adjective
boldly assertive and forward; pushy.

I feel like these are opposing ideas. Be one or the other. Cause in my book you most definitely and most assuredly can't be both. Or you can... either way.
